LG’s latest flagship — the G3 — comes with a brand new UI/UX design, which is a major step up from its previous offerings. Now, in an effort to provide a consistent and uniform user experience, LG has decided on bringing some of its core UX features from the G3 to its other mid-range devices and tablets.

One of the features that LG will be including in all its devices from now is their new camera app, which has a very striped down UI and has been optimzed for touch & shoot by eliminating the two-step process of first focusing and then shooting the image.

“With the basic principles of the G3’s UX features rooted in making complex technologies simple and convenient, our goal was to provide consumers with a user experience they genuinely need and want,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Standardizing these features across our entry- and mid-tier mobile products is just a natural extension of our desire to make every LG device feel premium and unique.”

The Gesture Shot feature from the G3 will also be available on other devices from LG, which allows users to take easy and blur-free selfies via a simple gesture. Another feature that LG would be standardizing is Smart Keyboard. The re-sizeable keyboard automatically learns what the user is typing and then starts predicting words à la SwiftKey.

The company, however, did not reveal whether it would be bringing some of its new UI/UX features to its last generation devices like the G2 or not.
