LG might not have unveiled the G4 at MWC this year, but it sure did reveal a lot of details about it during the event. Now, according to an LG official, the Korean company plans on unveiling the G4 next month, and is aiming to sell 10 million units of it in 2015.
As revealed by LG Electronics chief Cho Juno, LG had sold anywhere between 6-7 million units of the G3 since its launch in May last year.
LG briefed major European network operators and media outlets about the G4’s specifications and features at MWC, and their initial response to it was positive.
“LG Electronics aims to achieve the 10 million sales target of the G4 smartphone, which will be unveiled next month. Specifications of the G4 and changes we’ve made had been briefed to top outlet channels and European carriers during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) fair. (Valium Online) Initial response was good enough,” an LG official said at the fair, Friday (KST).
LG is planning on heavily advertising the handset in developed countries like Europe, United States and Korea. However, it will not be promoting the handset much in China, where local players like Xiaomi, and Apple are dominating the market.
Surprisingly, Cho also praised Samsung’s latest flagship — the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge — and said that the company’s high level executives were impressed by the phone. However, he is still optimistic about the G4 doing well, inspite of receiving stiff competition from the Galaxy S6.
