ZDNet got its hands on a gallery of images that allegedly give us another look at Android 4.4 KitKat and some of its new and improved features like an updated clock app, an About Page Easter Egg and more.
While ZDNet showcased the images, Android Police dissected each one, pointing out the shots that reveal new features as well as those images that are dubious. First are the new features, which include an updated clock app with a thinner font and an About Me page that has hidden Easter Egg. The Easter Egg is a nostalgic mosaic tribute to all the former versions of Android. There is also a new “Home” option in the settings that has an unknown function.
Android Police casts some doubt on the validity of these images noting that Google Photos is missing, while the older G+ photo albums is still there as its replacement. There are a few other inconsistencies like the presence of new icon, but an older app drawer and the name KeyLimePie in some screenshots, which has since been replaced by the name KitKat.
