Samsung is widely speculated that Samsung Galaxy S6 will be radically different from the previous generation Galaxy smartphones.Initial reports had suggested that it will sport a unibody design, but recent reports have indicated that it could feature a glass front and back with a metallic mid frame.
French website, Nowherelse.fr, which had leaked photos of the iPhone 6 that turned out to be quite accurate, has now published photos of the Samsung Galaxy S6 metal chassis. It looks a lot like the iPhone 6 with the rounded edges, antenna bands and holes for the speaker.
Meanwhile, The Korea Times also reports that according to their sources at Samsung’s supplier, Galaxy S6 will have a metal build, which will make it look a lot like the iPhone 6. The report however notes that unlike the iPhone 6, the Galaxy S6 will feature a glass front and back.
The report also notes that Samsung has dropped plans to adopt a dual-edge design due to concerns over defect rates of curved glasses.
Galaxy S6 will most likely be powered by Samsung’s own in-house Exynos processor and will feature a Quad HD display, 4GB RAM and a touch-based fingerprint sensor. The company is also looking to tone down its TouchWiz user interface on the S6 and optimise it to make the handset as smooth as the Nexus 6.
Samsung will unveil Galaxy S6 at a media event on March 1st. We can’t wait to see what Samsung has in store for us. What about you? Are you excited about Galaxy S6? Let us know in the comments below.
