Almost everything about theLG-made Nexus 5X is known now, thanks to a few major leaks and reports over the last month or so, but its elder sibling — the Huawei-made Nexus 6P — has been relatively shy of the rumor mill.
Today, thanks to a leaked presentation though, the complete specs and features of the Nexus 6P has been revealed.
The slides in the presentation confirm that the Nexus 6P will come with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, front-facing stereo speakers and a fingerprint scanner at the rear — something that leaks of the device have constantly mentioned.
For the first time though, the slides reveals that the handset will come with a 3450mAh battery and Gorilla Glass 4 in the front. Other information about the Nexus 6P in the presentation includes that it will weigh in at 178gms, feature a USB Type-C connector, and will be the first Nexus handset to feature an all-metal design.
While the complete camera specifications of the Nexus 6P is not listed in the presentation, one of the slides does boast about the low-light image capturing ability and the fast Google Camera app present on the handset.
Lastly, the slides corroborate what a leak from earlier this week had stated: the Nexus 6P will be available in four colors — Aluminium, Graphite, Frost, and Gold; and in 3 storage options: 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB. The gold color, however, will only be available in Japan initially.
Other slides in the presentation emphasise the new power saving optimisations present in Android 6.0 Marshmallow and how it will allow the handset to last longer, along with highlighting Now on Tap and the new App Permissions manager in the OS.
Google is scheduled to announce the Huawei Nexus 6P and the LG Nexus 5X on September 29, alongside the final release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and a new Chromecast.
