Sony unveiled the X Series of devices with Android on board back in February, but now it looks like there’s a new C Series handset on the way.
The images were initially published on the Chinese forum, Baidu, and surfaced by Xperia Blog. We get a pretty clear look at what is believed to be a new C Series Sony-branded smartphone, which will apparently boast a 6-inch display. There’s a sizable front-facing camera, too, which apparently boasts a flash as well.
The images also show off the microUSB port on the bottom (no USB Type-C here), and there appears to be a physical camera button along the bottom-right side, too. Unfortunately the report doesn’t follow up with any real specifications on the device, but rumor has it the new Xperia C will feature dual SIM support, and a MediaTek processor.
This could be the follow up to the C5 Ultra from last year, which had a six-inch display as well. That handset boasted a 1920×1080 resolution, along with a 13-megapixel front-facing camera. So we’ll have to wait and see what this particular device brings to the table.
