Moto unveiled the Moto X lineup back in 2013, although the company hasn’t been consistent with a launch every year. For example, there was no Moto X device launched in 2016, but there was one this year. This uncertainty led to fans questioning the future of the lineup. But if a new revelation by Evan Blass is to be believed, the lineup is here to stay.
Blass revealed the logo of the Moto X5 from his @evleaks account on Twitter, which should put a rest to speculations for now. However, the Moto X4 was only launched a few months ago, so it could be premature to think of the Moto X5 already. But this leak tells us that Moto is already working on the successor to the Moto X4, which could be very exciting for the company’s fans as well as the market.
If the Moto X4 is a metric to go by, we expect the Moto X5 to come with mid-ranged hardware (with dual-cameras) and water/dust resistance on board, a formula that’s seemingly working for the company. It goes without saying that this is merely a rumor for now, and we suggest you to treat it as such until there’s more word coming through. But given Moto’s ambitions in the smartphone market, the launch of another Moto X model next year doesn’t seem too far fetched.
