Quick, can you name all of the phone that HTC has announced this year? It’s a small company, so it’s not too hard: One, One Mini, Desire 200/500/600, and the Butterfly s. Yes, there’s that Windows Phone for Sprint, but I doubt more than a few thousand of them are going to be end up in customer’s hands.
With half a year to go, what else does HTC have up their sleeve? There’s the HTC One Max, basically a jumbo version of the One, but that’s it. At least that was it. Thanks to LlabTooFer, who has proven to be incredibly accurate when it comes to HTC rumors, the Taiwanese company is going to come out with a phone this year that’s codenamed “Zara”.
Unfortunately, it looks to be a bit … boring. We’re talking 4.5 inch 960 x 540 pixel display, Snapdragon 400 clocked at 1.4 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, and an UltraPixel camera. The rumor goes on to say that this thing will launch on Sprint later this year, so I’m thinking it’s likely going to be a North American variant of the Desire 600 since it shares so many of the same specifications.
I could be wrong, though. Let’s see what happens.
