LG Nexus 5 (2015) leak

A report from the Korean media claims that LG and Google will be launching the new Nexus handset on September 29th. The source of this purported release date had also released the correct release date of the original Nexus 5 back in 2013, which adds some credence to the September 29th unveiling date.

The source claims that the Nexus 5 (2015) “will be available through the Google Store (on) September 29.” This means that there is a possibility that Google might unveil the handset a week or two before that. The source had no information about the potential release date of the Nexus handset from Huawei though.

Alleged specs of the Nexus 5 (2015) leaked earlier this week. The leaked claimed that the handset will come with a 5.2-inch 2K display, a Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB RAM, and a 13MP shooter that uses Sony’s IMX278 sensor and a lens setup that is similar to the LG G4. The handset also leaked in live pictures earlier this month.

Google has already announced that it will be releasing the final public version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the public sometime towards the end of Q3, 2015. And once you consider the fact that a new version of Android have always been released with a new Nexus device, this purported release date of September 29th sounds just about right.
