If you want corporate clients to take your devices seriously, you need to make your phones ultra secure. That’s the whole point of Samsung’s Knox software, which the company created to let people easily manage their personal content and their work content on the same device.

Knox, announced back in February at Mobile World Congress, was talked about during the GS4’s launch in March, and people rightly assumed it was going to ship on the company’s flagship smartphone, but it looks like that’s not the case. According to Brian Chen, writing for The New York Times, Knox isn’t ready yet. It’s still undergoing testing and it’s not expected to be complete until July.

Will this delay hurt GS4 sales? Probably, but not significantly, especially in today’s world where people own more than one phone. And if a company’s CIO is really dedicated to using Samsung’s phones, then they’ll wait a few months for Samsung to finish their software.
