Google indoor maps india

Google’s indoor maps feature is now making its way to select Indian cities with an update to the Google Maps application. Although only limited to a few malls and other establishments at the moment, the arrival of this feature will be welcomed by the locals.

The feature basically gives users an indoor view of buildings and the floors within them to get a better angle of the surroundings. This will be very helpful for users venturing into a relatively large building on their own.

The indoor maps function can be accessed for over 75 buildings spanning across 22 cities in India. These include Delhi and NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Coimbatore and Ahmedabad. If you live in either of these cities, make sure you check out this new function on your device next time you’re lost in a local mall or a public building. Google is expected to rollout this feature to more regions in the coming days.

If you haven’t downloaded Google Maps for Android yet, now might be the right time to do it.
