Up until now, we have heard quite a bit about the specs of the HTC One, codenamed Hima or M9, but we were yet to see the actual device leak in pictures.

That changes today though, as the folks over at Nowhereelse have posted some images of HTC’s upcoming flagship. From the leaked images, it is evident that the One M9 looks clearly like its predecessor from the front with only a slight reduction in the bezel size.

The back of the handset also resembles the One M8 with only the camera cut-out being noticeably different. Rumors have indicated that HTC will be dumping its UltraPixel sensor in favour of a 20MP sensor from Sony on the One M9 and this image further seems to corroborate it. However, the photo of the back does not make it clear whether the handset will come with a secondary depth sensor or not.

While the HTC One M8 was known for its build quality, the handset’s ergonomics were quite poor that often led to it slipping from user’s hand. If the above images of its successor are anything to go by, it looks like HTC has retained the same slippery design, which is a shame. Also, it is disappointing to see the company not reduce the bezel around the screen further, especially when other companies have been making noticeable advancements in this regard.

HTC has already sent out invites for the launch of the One M9 at MWC in Barcelona on March 1st.
