Back in February of this year, the Huawei Watch 2 and the Watch 2 Classic were officially unveiled with Android Wear 2.0 on board.
At the time, both smartwatches were announced for the international market, with a launch date planned for the United States at some point. And now the wait is over. The company has officially announced that the Watch 2 is now available in the United States, with a price tag set at $299.99. It will be available in two colors: Charcoal Gray and Carbon Black.
The Watch 2 features Watch Mode, which allows the battery to last up to 21 days, compared to the standard 2 to 3 days the battery lasts in the standard mode. There’s GPS on board, heartbeat recording, and a ceramic bezel. There’s plenty of other sensors as well, and the smartwatch is running Android Wear 2.0 out of the box.
The Huawei Watch 2 is available at Best Buy, Amazon, B&H, Newegg, and others.
As for the Huawei Watch 2 Classic, which trades up to a metal case, that will retail for $369.99 when it launches “soon.”
