Smartphones have adopted big screens, with the phablets generally taking the biggest displays of them all. And now Huawei is adding to the mix with a gigantic new device.
It’s called the Honor Note 8, and it’s now official. The most prominent feature on the handset is the 6.6-inch AMOLED QHD display, which also features a 2.5D curved panel. Also on the front you’ll find an 8MP camera, just above the screen. And around back, there’s a 13-megapixel camera and a fingerprint reader.
The rest of the specifications look like this: a Kirin 955 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. The device launches in three variants: 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB. There is a microSD card slot in each model for expandable storage. The battery is 4550mAh, and the handset is running Android 6.0 underneath Huawei’s EMUI 4.1 UI.
Huawei will launch the 32GB model for 2,299 yuan. The 64GB version will cost 2,499 yuan, while the 128GB variant will cost 2,799 yuan. On top of all that, Huawei has also said the Honor Note 8 will launch at some point in the United States, but no specific pricing, or launch dates, were provided.
