Up until now, we have only heard rumors about Google launching two new Google-branded handsets in October dubbed Sailfish and Marlin. However, it looks like the company has a surprise up its sleeve in the form of a 7-inch tablet from Huawei.
As per @evleaks, Google/Huawei plan on launching a 7-inch tablet with 4GB RAM before the end of this year. This is the first time we are hearing about a Huawei-made Google tablet, and it remains unclear if this tablet will be launched alongside the new Google-branded handsets at the rumored October 4th event or not.

Google’s has launched quite a few tablets over the years that failed miserably. The first and second generation Nexus 7 tablets made from Asus were an exception to this though, with the latter still being regarded as the best Android tablet by many.
Considering that Android 7.0 Nougat comes with many multi-tasking oriented features, it does make sense for Google to launch a tablet to showcase these multitasking features in their purest form. For now, the specs of the Huawei-built Google tablet remains unknown, but now that its existence has been leaked, we should see some leaks pop up this month.
