HTC Desire 530, 630 and 825

While LG and Samsung both unveiling their flagship phones for H1, 2016 at MWC, HTC unveiled three new mid-range devices: the Desire 530, 630 and 825.

The design of the handsets are inspired by “urban street wear” and they feature a unique micro splash effect on the back of their polycarbonate shell. This means that the design at the back of all the three new Desire phones unveiled today will be unique.

“HTC has built its reputation on pairing industry-leading design with smart features”, said Chialin Chang, President of Sales, HTC. “But with customers also seeking personalization, and individuality in addition to treating their phones as fashion accessories, we have needed to create something different. So today we’re launching the most unique Desire devices yet.”

The Desire 530 is the most affordable of the bunch and it comes with a 5-inch 720p screen and a Snapdragon 210 processor. It will be available two different ‘micro-splash’ configurations: Stratus White Remix and Graphite Gray Remix. Next in line is the Desire 630, which packs in a higher resolution 13MP camera and BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio support.

The Desire 825 is the highest-end Desire smartphone unveiled by the Taiwanese smartphone maker, and it comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display. Under the hood, there is a quad-core Snapdragon 400 chipset, while the rear houses a 13MP shooter. HTC’s iconic BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio support are also present.

All three phones will start making their way in retail stores in the EMEA region from March 2016.
