At some point in the near future, HTC is going to launch its newest flagship smartphone. A new report aims to give us a look at what’s coming down the pipe.
VentureBeat has a report out today that aims to shed some light on the upcoming HTC U12+, which may actually be the only high-end HTC-branded smartphone the company launches this year. First and foremost, the report indicates that the U12+ will actually not just have three cameras, but will boast four — two up front and two on the back.
The report reveals that the U12+ will have a 6-inch display, which will have a WQHD+ resolution. Under the hood, there will be 6GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot. The battery will measure in at 3420mAh, and the handset will be running Android 8.0 Oreo. There will also be one version of the handset that boasts 128GB of built-in storage, too.
On the back, there will be one 16MP camera and one 12MP camera. Around front, there will be a pair of 8-megapixel cameras. The handset will also feature HTC’s Edge Sense technology, which will allow owners to squeeze the sides of the handset to launch certain software elements.
HTC will reportedly launch the U12+ sometime in May, so we may only have to wait until April to get a launch event.
What do you think of the new handset?
