A Swedish carrier has inadvertently leaked the 2014 HTC One Mini. The handset was revealed in a list of devices supporting the carrier’s HD Voice feature, but has now been taken down. There’s no word on when the Mini will break cover, but the fact that its existence has been revealed is big news nonetheless.
It is commonplace to see a mini variant of a popular flagship launching in a few months, so this doesn’t come as a surprise. However, HTC would want to get its mini smartphone right this time around, as the 2013 One Mini wasn’t much of a success.
There’s very little information to go with right now as this is only a leak from a Swedish carrier, but we expect to see a very familiar design with a smaller body. The software features of the smartphone should be relatively unchanged from the HTC One (M8).
When some people got in touch with the Swedish carrier for a confirmation of this leak, it was reportedly deemed as an error by the representatives, which is exactly what somebody would say when a device that has never been heard of is inadvertently leaked.
So will you be interested in a mini variant of the new HTC One or would you stick with the bigger sibling instead?
