The HTC EYE Experience has already made its rounds within Europe, and both the T-Mobile and Verizon versions of the handset have been updated on their own as well. Sprint is now jumping into the fray as well.

HTC executive Mo Versi recently confirmed via Twitter that the official EYE Experience update for the One (M8) will begin sometime at night on October 27. According to the tweet, Sprint’s version of the One (M8) and their Harman Kardon Edition has received technical approval for the EYE Experience, which was the last hurdle before the update could be publicly released.

The EYE Experience offers plenty of new features, which were initially unveiled in early October, 2014, alongside the announcement of the One (M8 EYE). That includes Face Tracking, which is designed to work faster in a room with multiple faces moving around in a particular shot. Split Capture allows to record a video using the camera on the back, as well as the front-facing camera at the same time. Voice Selfie lets the user take a quick picture by just saying, “Say cheese!” or “Action!” The update includes other features as well.

The update is expected to begin rolling out to One (M8) and Harman Kardon Edition handsets “tonight,” so keep an eye on your device as the evening hours roll around.
