It was only yesterday that HTC announced it would be rolling out the EYE Experience Camera update to the One M8. Today, it has already started rolling out the update to One M8 owners in the Nordic region of the world. The update brings with it some new camera tricks along with a new firmware update for nearly all the major low-level components of the device.
The 252MB update also bumps the Android version to the very latest of KitKa (4.4.4), though HTC had already included all the security patches introduced in it with the previous Android 4.4.3 update. As for the changes, One M8 owners can now enjoy new camera features like Face Tracking, Split Capture, Voice activated Selfies and more.
There are a lot of other under-the-hood changes as well, as reported by Android Revolution HD blog, including enhancements to the DSP manager, Bluetooth, Thermal management and more.
Since this is a staged roll-out, the OTA update will take quite a while to reach all the One M8 owners across the globe.
Quite a few other devices from HTC including the One M7, One E8, Desire 816, Desire 820 and the One mini 2 are slated to receive the update sometime in the future.
