T-Mobile has seen it fit to rain down the software updates from the sky, apparently, as many of the Magenta Network’s flagship handsets (from this year and last) have been hit with an over the air (OTA) software update.
None of the updates are all that large in size, or in the software features that they add to the handsets they are landing on, but many of them are geared towards security patches, performance tweaks, and overall bug squashing. The software updates have been listed on T-Mobile’s official support sites for the Galaxy S4, the HTC One (M8) and the One (M7). The LG G3’s update is meant for improvements to Wi-Fi Calling.
The One (M8), as well, is seeing a light update, without a bump to firmware version this time around. Galaxy S4 owners, though, will be seeing an upgrade from Android 4.4.2 to Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The HTC One (M7) is being updated to Android 4.4.3, which brings security tweaks from Android 4.4.4, even without being upgraded specifically to the latest public version of Android.
Did you receive any of these updates?
