At this point, not much is known about the next-gen HTC One (M8) except that it will sport a 5-inch 1080p display. Today, thanks to @evleaks, we have some more information about how the handset looks and its month of announcement.
Rumors had earlier indicated that the HTC M8 will sport a tweaked design of the current-gen One. Validating those rumors is the latest tweet from @evleaks which suggests that the M8 will look “strikingly like the” current-gen One. Sadly, @evleaks did not post a picture of the handset but knowing his past performance, its just a matter of time before he posts one.
So, yeah, the M8 looks strikingly like the M7. It's too bad they already named another phone One S.

Evleaks also tweeted that HTC is planning to launch the M8 sometime in late-March and will be holding a launch event in New York.
The current-gen HTC One is quite a looker and I don’t think many people are going to complain if HTC uses the same tweaked design. Since it is all but certain that the M8 is going to come with a 5-inch screen, HTC will definitely be tweaking the M7’s design to reduce bezel space and fit that larger screen without increasing the dimensions greatly.
While a late-March launch event sounds a bit too far, HTC can make up for it by actually releasing the phone within a couple of weeks of its announcement. Generally, there has always been a gap of a month between HTC’s announcement and the device hitting the shelves, which leads to the excitement around the phone cooling down.
