HTC Grip

Beside the One M9, HTC also unveiled its first wearable that it has developed in partnership with Urban Armour — the Grip. The wearable is aimed at fitness enthusiasts and comes with a dedicated GPS chip and a bunch of other sensors.

The Grip comes in a two-tone chassis and syncs with Under Armour’s Record app. The wearable comes with a touch-sensitive 1.8-inch PMOLED display that is curved to better fit your wrist. Apart from displaying the calories burnt and your workout progress, the display is also shows the time and other information. The wearable is also capable of connecting to certain external accessories, though they are all exorbitantly priced.

The Grip comes with a 100mAh battery, which can last up to two days on a single charge with the GPS switched off. However, the battery life plummets down to only 5 hours if you turn on the GPS chip. While HTC did not reveal the price of the Grip, it did mention that it will only be available in the United States for now.

The wearable will be compatible with iOS and Android devices.

Compared to hundreds of other wearables already available on the market, HTC’s Grip does not offer anything special. Are you excited about the HTC Grip?
