With the One, HTC greatly stepped up its game in the software updates department. In fact, the company has already managed to update certain variants of the One to Android 4.4 KitKat. However, the previous generation of Android devices from HTC are still waiting for some Jelly Bean love. (https://tjc.org/) One such device is the EVO 4G LTE on Sprint’s network.
While HTC has already confirmed that the EVO 4G LTE would be getting the Android 4.3 update, it did not provide any ETA, thereby testing the patience of EVO 4G LTE owners. Well, after a handful of EVO 4G LTE owners got pretty vocal about their Android 4.3 update on Twitter, HTC’s US head — Jason MacKenzie — provided some details about the update.
@Maury0823 hey Maurice. it will enter sprint testing in mid-Jan and release to customers ~mid-feb.

The Android 4.3 update for the EVO 4G LTE will be entering into carrier testing in mid-Jan and if everything is right, the final update should be released sometime in mid-February.
The EVO 4G LTE is the CDMA brother of the One X, which has already received its Android 4.3 update coupled with Sense 5 back in October. In all probability, the Android 4.3 update is going to be the last Android OS update that the EVO 4G LTE will receive, after which it will reach its EOL (End of Life).
