Just a few days after Google launched Android 9 Pie into the public, HTC is already stepping up to confirm which of its own devices will be getting the new software.
On Friday, HTC published a quick tweet to confirm that at least four of its smartphones will be getting updated to Android Pie. Those devices are the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and the U11 Life (Android One). It doesn’t look like the standard U11 Life will be getting the Android 9 update, though, seeing as HTC didn’t include it in the tweet. However, it’s possible that HTC tweaks the list in the future, so it’s not entirely impossible that the other handset gets added to the mix.
We're pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course.

The good news is that there is a list of devices for a planned update. The bad news is that while HTC was ready to divulge this much, it isn’t ready to talk about a specific launch window. According to the company, further details about the rollout will happen “in due course”, so hopefully we know more sooner rather than later.
Is one of your devices getting updated to Android Pie?
