It’s no secret that HTC is going through a tough time. The company’s market share keeps dwindling with every passing quarter, even though the company has come up with an excellent handset in the One.

In a bid to focus more on upcoming products and the company’s future, Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, has off-loaded some of his operational duties to the company’s co-founder and chairwoman, Cher Wang.

In a statement issued to Financial Times, Peter Chou said “I took on too many things. I need to be more focused on innovation and [the] product portfolio.”

In her new expanded role, Cher Wang will be working six days a week and handle marketing, sales and relationships with suppliers.

HTC hopes to have a “good result next year” with innovative products and a marketing campaign that stars Robert Downey Jr.
