HTC Aero invite

Amidst all the Nexus announcement from Google, HTC sent out the press invites for the launch event of its next handset — the HTC One A9. The company will be unveiling the handset on October 20th.

The Taiwanese company proudly boasts in the announcement post that its upcoming handset will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The HTC One A9 a.k.a Aero has already leaked multiple times over the last month or so. The handset resemble an iPhone 6, and will not be a high-end one. Instead, if the leaks are anything to go by, the Aero will pack in mid-range specifications.

HTC also boasts that the One A9 is not “your traditional smartphone” and its launch event is not going to be traditional as well. The company is holding a virtual event to launch the A9 that can be viewed on its website on October 20.

Do you think HTC will be able to surprise everyone with its new handset? Or will it turn out to be another dud like the One M9?
