There are three different ways of taking a screenshot in MIUI 10. You can use the traditional method or a new three-finger gesture, or use the tile in Quick Settings.

Method 1: Press and hold the Volume Down + Power button on your Redmi handset. After a second, a screenshot should automatically appear and a small preview of it will be displayed.

The preview stays for a couple of seconds and if you want to share or edit instantly, tap on it, and perform the desired action.

Method 2:  This is probably the most popular way of taking a screenshot as many OEMs have implemented it. Just swipe down on the screen with three fingers and a screenshot appears instantly.

Method 3: Don’t like so much of jargons? MIUI 10 has a one-tap tile in Quick Settings just for that.  Simply expand the quick settings panel by swiping from top to bottom and then tap on the Screenshot button. If you can’t find it upfront, swipe left. Wait for a second and a screenshot will be automatically taken.

How To Take Long Screenshot in MIUI 10

While the standard screenshot method captures what’s on the screen, it is not really ideal for capturing long lists. The usual way is to scroll and keep taking a screenshot but that’s too much.

MIUI 10 offers the feature of long-screenshot. It can automatically scroll through long pages, and keep taking screenshots until the end of the page. It also works inside apps.

However, the option is not available directly. You will have first to take a screenshot in the usual way and then wait for the preview to show up. Tap the screenshot preview to expand it. You should see a Scroll option at the bottom. Tap on it and MIUI will automatically start scrolling down in the list for you and add it to the original screenshot. To stop it at any time, press the Done button.
