Honor has pulled the wraps from Honor 9X and 9X Pro. Both the devices are the first from Honor to feature a pop-up selfie camera. The Honor 9X Pro comes with an additional rear camera and offers more RAM and Storage options as opposed to the Honor 9X.
Honor 9X and 9X Pro come equipped with a 6.59-inch IPS LCS display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2,340px. The pop-up front camera has helped implement the full-screen design. Meanwhile, both the devices are powered by a 7nm Kirin 810 octa-core processor. On the storage front, the Honor 9X offers 6GB of RAM/128GB of storage while the Pro offers 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. Honor has also baked in a microSD card slot that supports up to 512GB of additional storage space.
The Honor 9X and 9X Pro differ when it comes to camera options. The Honor 9X arrives with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Honor 9X Pro features a triple rear camera setup that bundles in an additional 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Front camera shapes up in the form of a 16-megapixel pop-up camera unit.
Other novelties on Honor 9X and 9X Pro include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4,000mAh battery, and USB Type-C port. The new devices run on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.1. The Honor 9X is expected to hit the stores from July 30 and will be available in Midnight Black, Red and Blue color options.
The Honor 9X 4GB RAM/64GB Storage is priced at 1,399 yuan ($204) while the 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced at 1,899 yuan ($278). Moving on, the Honor 9X Pro starts at 2,200 yuan for the 128GB variant while the top of the line 256GB variant is priced at 2,400 yuan ($349.) The Honor 9X Pro is scheduled to be launched on August 9.
