At an event in Goa, India, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor today unveiled the Honor 9i which it claims is the world’s first smartphone featuring a dual-camera setup at the front and rear along with a FullView display.
The 5.9-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080) display features an 18:9 aspect ratio display with minimal bezels surrounding it. It is protected by a 2.5D curved glass as well. The phone features an aluminium chassis with a glass back. Internally, the Honor 9i is powered by a Kirin 659 chipset, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a 3340mAh battery.

At the front, the Honor 9i features a 13MP primary sensor which is again paired with a 2MP secondary camera used to capture depth information. The dual camera setup at the back and front allows the Honor 9i to adjust the focus in a picture after it is captured. It also allows the handset to offer a Portrait mode.
On the software front, the Honor 9i runs on Emotion UI 5.1 that is based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
