Samsung has a mini version of the GS4 out on the market. HTC is expected to announce a mini version of the One in the very near future. So what about other handset makers? According to VR-Zone, Sony is going to release a smaller version of their flagship phone, the Honami, later this year.
The story is light on details, except to say that the “Honami Mini” will have a screen size between 4.0 and 4.3 inches and that it’ll have a Snapdragon 800 under the hood. As for the exact date of an announcement, your guess is as good as mine. We know that Sony is going to hold an event on the 4th of September in Berlin, two days before IFA, but would the company want to announce two phones there instead of one?
Stranger things have indeed happened. Anyone remember CES? Sony announced two flagship phones, the Z and the ZL. Both with the exact same specs, except one was made out of glass and waterproof, while the other was made out of plastic and capable of being destroyed in a kitchen sink.
