If you are a CM12 nightly user, you will be glad to know that the CyanogenMod team has refreshed their boot logo to keep it inline with the new design guidelines of Android.

It was only earlier this month that the CyanogenMod team started rolling out the CM12 nightlies, based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, for a selected bunch of devices.

The new boot animation starts with a blue dot in the center of the screen and then evolves into the company’s logo. Below is a gif of the new boot animation:

The CyanogenMod team has merged the boot animation only earlier today, so it will be available in CM12 nightly builds for all devices starting from tomorrow.

While this new boot animation is nice, it is primarily dominated by a white background, which might not be appreciated by all CyanogenMod users. Keeping in mind the number of customisation options the CM team provides in their ROM, I hope they also include a dark themed version of this boot animation in their ROM and allow users to switch freely.
