Earlier this year, the cable subscription service, HBO, launched a brand new streaming service called Now. It wasn’t available immediately across many platforms, but it is coming to Android soon.
During the start of the Google I/O Keynote, which began just minutes ago, Sundar Pichai announced, rather nonchalantly, that HBO Now is coming to the Google Play Store in the near future. With Now, Android users will be able to access HBO content, like Silicon Valley or Game of Thrones, without having to have a cable subscription tacked on.
HBO Now will include Chromecast support as well, so watching the content on your TV will be possible, too.
