Samsung is rolling out an update for its Push Service app via the Play Store that reportedly helps in fixing the poor battery life being experienced by many Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge owners.
Samsung installs the Push service app on a bunch of its devices, and it is used by the company for its own apps and services that it pre-loads on its devices.
The latest update to the app has a very simple changelog, which states that it includes a patch to reduce power consumption and data usage. As many Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners are reporting, installing the update has reduced the idle standby battery drain of the handset.
So, if you are frustrated by the poor battery life of your new Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge, try installing the update to the Samsung Push Service and see if it helps in any way.
