Carphone Warehouse is a massive European electronics store chain, so when they offer up a data point, you should pay attention. Here’s a snippet from a press release they just published:

The UK’s largest independent mobile retailer has so far received more than four times (446%)* as many pre-registrations for the Galaxy S4 than it did when Samsung announced its last flagship device, the SIII, in 2012.

*SIII pre-registration figures taken 25th – 30th April 2012 compared with S4 pre-registration figures taken 15th – 18th March 2013

Comparing four days of GS4 preorders versus six days of GS3 preorders is a bit disingenuous, I’ll give you that much, but it does demonstrate that people actually want this phone. Knowing Samsung, they’ll likely announce when GS4 sales hit 10 million, which I’m going to assume will happen in less than 60 days.

I would not be shocked if it happened in less than 30 days actually.
