According to the rumors floating around the web, Samsung is going to announce three new variants of the Galax S4 by the end of the first half of 2013. One of them will be a ruggedized version of the GS4 called the GS4 Active. Another will be a smaller version of the GS4, but with a 16 megapixel sensor and 10x optical zoom called the GS4 Zoom. And finally there’s the GS4 Mini. As the name suggests, it’s a smaller GS4 with downgraded specs.
Thanks to Weibo (the Chinese version of Twitter) user @PunkPanda, there are now eight new images to the GS4 Mini to enjoy. You can tell it’s the GS4 Mini because it has the same design pattern that’s on the big GS4. That and there’s a photo if it compared to a GS3, and you can tell it’s smaller.
Spec wise, what will the GS4 Mini bring to the table? Again, these are rumors, but you can expect a 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixel) display, 1.6 GHz dual core CPU, and a 5 megapixel camera. So similar to how the GS3 Mini was a huge step down from the GS3, the GS4 looks to repeat that.
