According to Geek.com, one of the things we’ll today at Google I/O is a “Google Edition” Samsung Galaxy S4. It’s technically not a Nexus device, it’s just Samsung’s flagship smartphone running stock Android. Said phone will go on sale in June and it’ll support T-Mobile USA’s network.

You guys realize this rumor is absolutely mental, right?

If such a device does come out, it would be a confession by Samsung that their TouchWiz “skin” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It would also make things more difficult from a logistical perspective. How many “Google Edition” GS4 units need to be made? Where will the be shipped? And so on.

Had this rumor cropped up on another site, I would’ve given it the time of day, but with less than 11 hours until the start of Google I/O, this just screams link bait to me.

And guess what, I fell for the link bait.
