Earlier this year, Google officially debuted a brand new messaging app, as well as a brand new video calling app, called Allo and Duo, respectively.
At the time of publication, you can actually pre-register for both apps right now, but they won’t be officially launched to the public later this year. And it’s been discovered that with that pre-registration, Google has gone ahead and changed the icons for both of the apps before that aforementioned public launch.
When Google showed off both apps, the Allo app icon featured a gray speech bubble, with the app’s name in red inside of it. Now, the new icon features a blue speech bubble, with the app’s title now a white font. Meanwhile, the old Duo app icon featured a blue camera with white text, and now the new icon features a gray camera with blue text.
The changes aren’t sweeping by any means, but it does make them a bit more in line with one another.
If you want to pre-register for the apps, they’re linked below. Are you looking forward to trying them out?
