In March, when Google held its I/O conference, most people expected the company to announce the new name for Android N, the next iteration of the mobile operating system.
Unfortunately that didn’t happen, as Google said they were having a bit of a difficult time figuring out the name for the next version of Android. As a result, Google left it up, at least in part, to all the people out there in the world who might want to help naming Android N. So, the #NameAndroid campaign kicked off, and people got to send in submissions for what they think Android N should be called.
Now, as announced via the official Android Twitter account, the submissions have been tallied and Google will announce the name of Android N “in a few weeks.” So, either by the end of June or the start of July we should know what Google’s chosen.
Thanks for your submissions. We’ll reveal the new name in a few weeks! #NameAndroidNhttps://t.co/qLtDZJNe9y
