Apart from unveiling its first “store in store” in London, Google also launched a new online store — the Google Store — a new online home for all its devices.

The Google Play Store, which is where Google used to sell some of its hardware until today, will now only be used for selling apps, games, movies and other contents.

The Google Store currently has the Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Chromecast, the new Chromebook Pixel and Nexus Player for sale. It also has dedicated sections for Android Wear running smartwatches, Nest, Chromebooks and more to explain their usefulness to consumers. As a way of saying hello, Google is also offering free shipping on the lowest option across all devices that are currently available for purchase on the store.

The company will automatically be transferring all your previous device orders from the Play Store to the Google Store over the next few days.

Looking at the number of devices that Google has started selling recently, the move from the company to showcase and sell them in a different store online makes a lot of sense.

However, there is some bad news here as well. With the transition to the new Store, Google is also announcing that the Nexus 5 will no longer be available for sale.
