Google’s Huge Search Widget Revamp Demoed on Video

Google is all set to unveil the second generation of Pixel handsets at an event on October 4th. While the event is largely going to be about the new Pixel devices, Google will also be unveiling some new software enhancements for the handsets. This includes a new Google Bar search widget which is fully customisable. The search bar widget while circular by default can be customised to have a more rectangular look as well. Google Might Release New Bluetooth Earphones Next Week

Alongside its second-generation Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Google might also release new Bluetooth wireless earbuds with Google Assistant integration at its October 4th event. The wireless earbuds won’t be completely wireless like Apple’s AirPods though. Instead, the two buds would be connected to each other using a wire — similar to more traditional wireless earbuds available in the market right now. The earbuds will also feature an action button for Google Assistant using which one could quickly bring up the assistant.

Google Working on an Amazon Echo Show Competitor

Amazon Echo Show

Google is reportedly working on an Amazon Echo Show competitor running Google Assistant and featuring a 7-inch touchscreen display. The device will have access to all of Google’s services like YouTube, Photos, and other popular services like Netflix. It will also be able to control Nest and other smart home appliances around it.

While Google is trying its best to launch its Echo Show competitor this year, the chances of that happening are pretty slim.

Modified Google Camera APK Updated with RAW Support

Remember the modified Google Camera APK that brought Google’s famed HDR+ to other Snapdragon 821/Snapdragon 835 devices? That APK has now been updated with the ability to save photos in RAW format. Additionally, the HDR+ settings can now also be tweaked which you can play around with to be able to extract an even better performance from the camera of your handset.
