When Google announced Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich back in late 2011, they also introduced a new in-house developed font for the platform called “Roboto”. It didn’t take people long to realize however that Roboto was basically a rip-off of the now famous Helvetica font. All that aside for a second, the guys over at Android Police have noticed that Roboto in Android 4.3 has received several modifications. To quote their language, because I’m not exactly sure how one should talk about a font, it’s “more balanced”.
Now I know what you’re thinking: When will Google officially announce Android 4.3 and when will my device get it? (newenglandtours) That’s the real question here, and unfortunately, no one knows the answer. I want to say it’ll be out whenever Google announces the next Nexus 7, but I don’t know when that’ll happen. This summer? Maybe. This year? Definitely.
