For those who aren’t well versed with technology but have somehow ended-up using a device with Android Marshmallow and were confused about the Google Now on Tap feature, fret not, for there now exists a commercial that explains the feature.

Now on Tap, is essentially a rudimentary version of Jarvis in your phone – A smart, personal assistant that does its level best to provide you with information. It builds up on the Google Now which was essentially a quick search and information card that could be accessed by swiping up from the Home button or going to the leftmost screen. If is wasn’t obvious enough, Now on Tap is accessed by tapping the home button, while search information is automatically entered.

When looking at information within any app, be it in the form of a name of a location or celebrity, by pressing the home button, you activate Now on Tap to ‘read’ the page and bring up a card displaying relevant information about the place or thing. It sounds like a huge information pill to swallow, but the advertisement below, might help understand the feature better. Oh, did I mention, it saves your appointments as well and adds them to the calendar.

To have access to this nifty feature to streamline your every busy schedule, you need to have a device with Android M, or wait for the update to roll out to you.

We would like to hear from users of Android Marshmallow if you find Now on Tap a useful feature, and from the rest, if you look forward to it, so leave us a comment below!
