Just yesterday, Google announced YouTube Go, more Wi-Fi hotspots across the country’s popular railway stations, and Hindi support for Google Assistant. Today, the company seems to have silently rolled out its Google Play Music store in India.
Google has already been selling movies, TV shows, and books in India through Google Play, but its music store was missing from the country for some reason.
The company is offering regional (Tamil, Telugu etc.) and classical music for purchase through the store to go along with Bollywood music. The price of a single song starts from Rs 15, with album prices starting from Rs 90. This pricing is similar to Apple’s iTunes Store which also allows users to download music legally by paying for them.
You can access the Google Play Music store from the ‘Music’ section in the Google Play Store. If the Music option is not there, make sure to use the Google Play Music app to login with your primary Google account first.
