In addition to the new Nexus 7 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, Google also launched a new hub for Google Play games. The app works very much like Game Center on iOS, and acts as a hub for all your achievements, leader boards, compare scores, play with friends and more.
The Google Play games app will be available on the Play Store beginning from today, and will ship by default on the new Nexus 7. We will update this post to add a download link to the app as soon as it goes live in the Play Store.
Google also updated its Play Books service to add support for textbooks. The killer feature about textbooks is that it will allow users to purchase or even rent books for up to 6 months at a very low and affordable price. The service will go live in August, with an update to the Play Books app coming in soon as well.
Update: Here is the download link for the Play Games app.
