Samsung and Google have finally started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Google Play edition Galaxy S4. However, Samsung is rolling out the Android 5.0 build of Lollipop, and not 5.0.1, which Google rolled out earlier this month.
This means that GPe S4 owners will have to enjoy Lollipop with a few bugs, until Samsung and Google roll out the Android 5.0.1 build for the device. The 490MB OTA update also requires that you have at least 500MB of free space in the internal storage of your device for installation purposes.
Lollipop is the biggest update to Android OS ever, and contains many new features like a Priority notification mode, Material Design, Smart Lock and more.
LG was the first company to update its Google Play edition G Pad 8.3 to Lollipop, which was followed by Sony’s Z Ultra and the HTC One M8 and M7.
