360 degree renders of Google’s upcoming Pixel 4 have leaked online giving us a clear look at its design and the changes it will incorporate. Similar to the Pixel 4 XL, the Pixel 4 will feature a square camera hump at the rear which will house two camera lens and a ToF sensor.

The 8.2mm thick handset also features a relatively large top chin at the front. This has been seemingly done to include sensors related to Google Soli or for introducing a Face ID-like biometric authentication to the Pixel 4 lineup. Leaked renders have shown that the bigger Pixel 4 XL will have a similar large bezel at the top.

The lack of any fingerprint scanner at the rear means that the Pixel 4 will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Or like Apple, Google could just rely on its biometric authentication mechanism. The renders also confirm that the Pixel 4 will lack a headphone jack.

Google is also ditching the front-facing stereo speaker setup on the Pixel 4. Instead, it is moving one of the speakers to the bottom, with the earpiece at the top acting as a secondary speaker to give a stereo effect.

The Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 855, feature 6GB RAM, with the bigger XL variant coming with 128GB of base storage. Given that the Pixel series has been setting the standard when it comes to mobile photography, it remains to be seen what Google has in store for us. It will also be interesting to see if the Pixel 4 series includes an ultra-wide angle camera or a telephoto sensor. The former is quickly becoming commonplace in Android smartphones nowadays so it would be a shame if Google ended up going with a telephoto sensor instead.
