Pixel 3 XL Leak

Earlier today, we caught our first glimpse at the Pixel 3 XL in some hands-on photos. Now, more photos of the handset have been leaked by the original XDA member which shows the handset from every possible angle.

The new set of photos give us a clear look at the rear of the device. At first glance, it might look similar to that of the Pixel 2 XL, but Google has actually switched to two-tone glass finish at the back possibly for wireless charging. The photos of the sides of the phone show the power and volume button in the same position as the Pixel 2 XL, though the SIM card tray has been moved to the bottom of the device alongside the USB-C port. And no, there’s no headphone jack to be found.

The leak from earlier today had confirmed that the Pixel 3 XL will indeed come with a notch display at the front, with almost the same bezels as the Pixel 2 XL to incorporate front-facing stereo speakers. It will also pack 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage space. It is also interesting to see Google sticking to a single camera setup at the rear for the Pixel 3 XL while switching to a dual-camera setup at the front.

Overall, the leaked photos point to the Pixel 3 XL coming with a more shinier look compared to the matte finish found on the Pixel 2 XL. This means it would attract fingerprints and smudges easily. The inclusion of only 4GB RAM and a single camera at the rear is also going to be a bummer for many. The Pixel 2 XL was not really known for its design and it looks like Google has done little to change that this year.

What do you think about the Pixel 3 XL based on the leaks above? I am definitely disappointed that it is going to come with only 4GB of RAM as that’s clearly not going to be enough for heavy multitasking.
