Starting from today, Google+ Photos users will be able to access their photos through Google Drive as well. The Google Drive app for Android, iOS and the web will now have a dedicated Google Photos section to allow users to quickly access their G+ Photos from the app.

Google is not replacing Google+ Photos backup with Drive though, and is only offering users a different way to view and manage their uploaded images and videos. Users can also directly upload Photos through Drive, but for that they will need to create a “My Drive” folder in Google Drive.

Users will start seeing their recently uploaded photos in Google Drive from today itself, but their entire library will take up to a few weeks to show up.
