Along with the release of Android 5.0, came the availability of Google’s “Messenger” app, another option for those who don’t have enough.

And now the app’s been hit with a notable update, of which adds a brand new way to communicate with someone just how you’re feeling: with animated GIFs. That’s right, Messenger now supports the animated imagery, which has become all the rage on the internet as of late. It’s certainly a unique piece of functionality, and it should help Messenger stand out amidst the crowd.

On top of that, Messenger now has a widget you can put on the Home screen of your Android device, allowing you to see your messages without having to dig into the app proper. The update also includes the perfunctory performance updates and bug fixes.

Do you use Messenger, or are you a Hangouts person?
